University Women’s HealthCare is the umbrella organization for the

• University Women's HealthCare practice
• University GYN/OB Foundation, and the
• University of Louisville Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women’s Health (Educating future physicians)

Our mission

Our mission is to create a resource for education, research and clinical care in Louisville, central and western Kentucky, and southern Indiana.

We value compassion, excellence, professionalism, and innovation. Our physicians, administrators, staff, and students work as a team to comfort, heal, educate and discover. It is our privilege to serve our communities.

Our goals are to

• Provide medical care that ranges from routine preventive and uncomplicated pregnancy services to complex health problems such as infertility, cancer, pelvic diseases, menstrual disorders, menopause, high risk pregnancies, urogynecology, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology;
• Create partnerships between the academic and community hospitals;
• Provide educational resources to health care providers and consumers; partnering with state agencies and other organizations to improve the overall health status of our communities;
• Provide clinical service, teaching and research through six academic divisions.
